on saturday we went to a fun zombie birthday party/art show. we didn't dress up {boring, i know} but i didn't know what a zombie would wear since i am too chicken to watch those sort of movies. plus it was too hot for halloween-ish make-up. i wore a black ruffle-y dress with a white vintage millinery flower(s) corsage that i wore on my wedding dress. and then i played with masks. the mask in the photo above reminded me of donnie darko and was handmade by one of the artists at the party. too bad i was a little too tipsy to pay attention when my photo was taken, this is one of the only ones i have from the night and it is sooo dark. i also brought along zombie cupcakes. i wasn't sure how to decorate them so i went with a graveyard scene and made headstone cupcake toppers. i thought it turned out okay and the birthday boy was more than pleased. i guess that's all that matters. and hey, at least they tasted good.
