we went for a picnic at the fullerton arboretum while my sister was in town last week. it's our favorite place to picnic. we were just there with our dear friends, michelle and todd, a few weeks ago. {which reminds me, i really need to open up our new printer/scanner so i can scan some of the lovely polaroids we have been taking.} i hope we can find some time for another day in the arboretum soon. i have been wanting to make a tomato tart with all of the gorgeous heirloom tomatos and fresh basil we have been growing. that would make for some tasty picnic-fare. who's bringing the salad? and then i can make those mason jar strawberry shortcakes again... mmm. not this weekend though, we'll be busy bees. i hope you have something special planned for your weekend! sitting in the backyard with a lemonade and a good book sounds lovely right about now. happy weekend! xoxo.
