what we wore.

the wedding we went to over the weekend was lovely! we were so happy to be included in steven & cassie's special day. how sweet and in love they are! the venue, clarke estate, was beautiful. it was surrounded by towering bamboo and green everywhere. an outdoor, evening wedding in late october? only in southern california.

i thought i would share what we wore here and over at wardrobe remix.

husband looking handsome, as always. black slacks, vintage christian dior shirt, vintage 1950s pink n black tie and vintage boots. i wore a black ruffle-embellished dress, vintage millinery flower corsage i made (that i also wore on my wedding gown), vintage charm necklace and bracelet and my favorite vintage red 1950s heels.

happy autumn weekend.

i was perusing flickr autumn photos early this morning and came across a lovely flick photo stream. {i had a long day yesterday, a restless night and will continue to have one busy friday and weekend so i was trying to relax for a minute. actually let's just say this whole month is nuts and i need some time to have some tea, flip through a magazine, read a book, or look at gorgeous pictures.} all that to say: have a look for yourself. her name is eadaoin and her blog is also full of beautiful images. she has an etsy shop, your willing skin, where you can purchase a print of her images. the image above is of a farm she visited in ireland. isn't it dreamy? i'd love to visit and take a walk down that path. i think i need to plan a day trip out to a pretty apple orchard with husband sometime soon. we can picnic and eat pear and roquefort tarts with wine. *sigh* enough day-dreaming for me!

oh how i would love to attend one of these flower school classes! it sounds like the most fun and we already know the flowers are going to be beautiful. miss saipua, herself? enough said. and how lovely {or what torture!} that the winter workshop class date is the day before my birthday. if only i could swing it. i guess this can go straight to the top of my imaginary, extravagant wish list.

a bit of news & shop goodies.

i didn't forget about this little blog and did not expect to be away for two weeks (!). not sure if i mentioned it here but the husband and i are moving. so basically we have spent most of the last few weeks getting things in order for that. cleaning out goodies for donations, etsy sales, packing, etc. all that plus the usual work and obligations. and it is all worth it! we are beyond excited about our new place. i am looking forward to getting it into dollhouse shape so i can share it here. also, looking forward to thanksgiving dinner with our closest loved ones there. hopefully we can settle in fast enough to pull it off.

so just in case posting here is sporadic or non-existant, you now know why. i am still trying to keep updating my little etsy shop often, though. so far, so good. have a look for more pretty dresses, shoes and outerwear. i just listed some darling vintage ferragamo vara shoes, too. if only those fit me!

here is another one of our favorite polaroids. we love this one. summertime, picnics, pretty parks, smooching... what's not to love? i'm so glad it's friday. i am going to try extra hard to sleep in tomorrow. or at least sleep past 5 am. i think i want to bake us a coffee cake for brekky. it's been a while since i have baked something special, just for us. ooh or maybe cinnamon rolls, yum! have a lovely weekend, everyone! xoxo.

wardrobe remix.

i'm trying to get back into posting pics on wardrobe remix. i had fun the last few times i did it and i always enjoy having a look at what everyone is wearing. this plaid "model's coat" dress was almost listed in my little etsy shop. this photo is actually a photo i took for the shop. but it was so comfy and cute that the very next day i wore this exact little outfit. and loved it. i think it is perfect for fall and winter. it looks lovely with or without tights and with sandals or boots. i might have a new favorite dress. i already want to wear it again! do you have a favorite item of clothing for fall? xoxo.
